How Air Freight Charges Are Calculated
Airlines charge on chargeable weight, which is the greater of the actual gross weight and the volumetric weight of your shipment. Volumetric weight reflects the space a shipment takes up in the aircraft and is usually calculated by multiplying length, width and height in centimetres and dividing the result by 6,000.
